CHANTILLY, VA; December 4, 2023 – Amentum has been awarded a Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) contract valued at $56.1 million to support the U.S. Department of Defense’s Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP) mission. Expanding on Amentum’s international BTRP work on the African continent, the company will deliver expertise to secure and consolidate pathogens; enhance biosafety and biosecurity standards; and sustain and maintain partner countries’ abilities to detect, diagnose, surveil, and report emerging and re-emerging diseases of international security concern.

“Amentum’s expertise in managing important national security missions with partner nations will be strengthened by modernizing construction delivery, smart logistics networks, sustainable training approaches and safe laboratory operations,” said Mark Whitney, President, Amentum’s National Security Group. “Our threat reduction capabilities and experience will enhance the ability of BTRP’s partners to detect and prepare for any biological threats that may impact our country, allies, and the African region.”

Under this contract Amentum will work with the African Union’s Pan African Veterinary Vaccine Center in Bishoftu, Ethiopia to enhance biosafety and biosecurity of the facility. Amentum’s work will include construction and engineering of a new laboratory and training facility; equipment procurement, delivery, and installation; operations and maintenance support, and biosafety. Amentum will also deliver biosecurity training to ensure the center is sufficiently equipped to protect biological assets and implement a bio risk management program.

The award has a three-year base period of performance with several options which can extend the period of performance to five years. Work will be performed within and outside the continental United States with specific focus on BTRP partners in Ethiopia and the African Union.

CHANTILLY, Va., November 8, 2023 – Amentum was awarded U.S. Department of State (DoS) Africa Peacekeeping Program (AFRICAP) task orders to provide complex training and development in Benin as well as design, engineering and build management in multiple locations throughout Somalia. This critical work, which began in October with $165 million in cumulative total value, will help bolster the capacity in Africa to fight extremist groups and protect national security.

“Our extensive training expertise navigating challenging environments in protection of national security makes us the premier partner to the DoS on the Trans-Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership for the Forces Armées Béninoises,” said Dr. Karl Spinnenweber, President of Amentum’s Critical Missions Group. “We also look forward to completing complex design and engineering projects around austere Somalian environments as a top partner to the DoS in Africa.”

On one task order, Amentum will deliver a complex training program to improve the capabilities of the Beninese Armed Forces in safeguarding national security through mobilization training, non-commissioned officer development, company-grade officer leadership management, train-the-trainer programs, and basic military training and field-base exercises.

Amentum will also complete a design and build project for permanent and sustainable bases for the Somalia National Army Danab in six priority locations. Amentum experts will utilize extensive knowledge of ground and environmental conditions through the design process to mitigate construction and build risks.

USINDOPACOM is managing the program out of Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

CHANTILLY, VA; October 16, 2023 – Amentum has been awarded a five-year contract with a maximum value of $326.9 million by the U.S. Army to continue its important work on command, control, communication, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. Amentum will engineer, integrate and test advanced prototype technologies and systems. The Army is managing the program out of the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.

“As a premier engineering partner for the U.S. Army, we can enable new technology capabilities to protect our national security.” said Jill Bruning, President of Amentum’s Engineering, Science, and Technology Group.

Under this contract, Amentum will provide technology and engineering solutions for prototyping projects executed by The Prototyping, Integration and Testing Division (PI&TD). These engineering modernization and integration projects directly support emerging technical needs of the warfighter. PI&TD provides support to several military program management offices including DEVCOM, Warfighter Information Network Tactical (WIN-T), Mission Command, Radars, DCGS-A, Special Operations Command, and Marine Corp (USMC).

Additionally, Amentum will design, develop, and fabricate C5ISR systems, sub-systems, components, installation kits, and systems-of-systems for integration into ground-based, vehicular, shelter, airborne, watercraft, soldier, and dismounted platforms, both tactical and non-tactical, and into fixed and re-locatable sites.

Amentum will support DTRA’s global mission of enhancing biosafety and international security by modernizing facilities, logistics, operations, and training.

“Amentum’s expertise managing important national security engagements with partner nations will be strengthened by our utilization of modern construction delivery, smart logistics networks, sustainable training approaches and safe laboratory operations,” said Mark Whitney, President, Amentum’s National Security Group. “Our threat reduction experience will enhance the ability of BTRP’s partners to prevent, detect and prepare for any biological threats that may threaten our country, allies, and the African community.”

This award expands Amentum’s international BTRP work. Under this contract, Amentum will deliver the expertise needed to facilitate DTRA’s mission to secure and consolidate pathogens; enhance biosafety and biosecurity standards; and sustain and maintain countries’ abilities to detect, diagnose, surveil, and report emerging and re-emerging diseases of international security concern.

The Amentum U.S. Army Senior Advisory Committee (ASAC) will play a pivotable role in the development and understanding of military centric policy and doctrine within the framework of best practices supporting the overall Conduct of Operations and its execution.

GERMANTOWN, Md.; September 14, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial intelligence (TFI) has selected Amentum, under its METIS Solutions entity, to provide a full range of state-of-the-art investigative and analytic solutions to counter cyber-enabled financial crime under a new multi-award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract. The BPA has a maximum value of $500 million over five years.

“Our confidence to meet the Treasury TFI mission stems from our proven performance providing analysis of financial intelligence, and a thorough understanding of the changing financial crimes landscape and illicit financial typologies,” said Jill Bruning, President of Amentum’s Engineering, Science and Technology Group. “We can bring to bear our successful partnerships and collaboration with financial analysis industry leaders, and our extensive knowledge of the many tools and datasets required to safeguard the nation’s financial system against threats.”

Under this contract, Amentum will compete for task orders to provide intelligence, financial, and investigative expertise and technology-enabled approaches across Treasury TFI at the Bureau level, including sanctions investigation and enforcement, transaction licensing, analysis and investigation of financial crimes, and other analytic solutions.

To bring the best-in-class solutions to the Treasury, Amentum has partnered with Sayari Labs, a global leader in commercial and financial intelligence platforms designed to help analysts and investigators combat financial crime, illicit networks and gain visibility into opaque markets with specific focus on strategic rivals, rogue regime governments, and permissive emerging markets exploited by transnational organized criminal networks.

Amentum’s efforts will include analysis and investigation of cyber-enabled crime, including: conducting financial cyber investigations of complex financial and business records, advanced research and analysis on cyber-enabled crime methods and trends including money laundering techniques, cyber target development to identify cyber-enabled crime networks, and evaluation of emerging payment technologies like virtual currencies to analyze for criminal use or terrorist financing. The program incorporates Amentum’s capabilities to identify and document cyber evidence and conduct cyber forensics, identify and analyze cyber-related financial typologies, analyze cryptocurrency and blockchain analytics, and gather intelligence and analysis on the Deep and Dark Web.

Work will be performed in the greater Washington D.C. region with additional locations across the continental U.S. as required. The BPA was awarded under the Government Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Professional Services Category.

GERMANTOWN, Md.; June 7, 2022 – Koa Lani, an Amentum joint venture with Kūpono, a mentor-protégé 8(a) company, has earned a position on Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Remotely Piloted Aircraft Squadron Operations Center Enterprise (RPASOC-E) support Multiple Award Contract.

The joint venture, Koa Lani which is Hawaiian for “Sky Warrior,” will now compete for RPASOC-E task orders until May 2030. The indefinite delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a maximum ceiling of $785 million.

“This award reflects Amentum’s leadership position as a premiere provider of RPA support services that enhance our national security and enable our customers to achieve their critical missions,” said Dr. Karl Spinnenweber, President of Amentum’s Mission Readiness strategic business unit. “Additionally, it demonstrates Amentum’s steadfast commitment to the Small Business Administration’s mentor-protégé program. Our promise to our Department of Defense clients and to our small business partners centers on a single principle central to our core values: deliver mission success.”

The RPASOC sustains world-wide mission systems, conducts operations and maintenance of equipment designs and development systems in support of combat air patrols managed by ACC, Air Force Special Operations Command, the Air National Guard, and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Warner Robbins.

GERMANTOWN, Md.; April 12, 2022 – Amentum has been awarded a five-year contract with a maximum value of $260 million by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) to develop and deploy emerging capabilities and prototypes for countering unmanned systems threats (C-UST). Amentum was awarded this contract under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s (DoD IAC) multiple-award contract (MAC) vehicle. These DoD IAC MAC task orders are awarded by the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron to develop and create new knowledge for the enhancement of the DTIC repository and the R&D and S&T community.

“Amentum is ready to partner with the Department of Homeland Security and provide our unmanned systems expertise to help develop solutions that protect our national security,” said Jill Bruning, President of Amentum’s IS4 Business Unit.

Under this contract, Amentum will develop and improve capabilities through technology concepts and techniques to counter emerging air, land, maritime, space, and cyber threats. Amentum will perform complex Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) services to facilitate rapid technology development and transition of C-UST systems and technologies to enhance border security and protect critical infrastructure. To stay ahead of evolving threats, Amentum applies an agile engineering and development approach that utilizes state-of-the-art software tools and iterative methods. By delivering innovative, quick reaction solutions, Amentum will help ensure DHS remains at the forefront of technology.

GERMANTOWN, Md.; (Oct. 5, 2021) – Amentum was awarded a seat on a $121 million multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide worldwide expeditionary supplies and services to support humanitarian and disaster relief, military exercises, and contingencies. Work will be performed in multiple geographic regions and funds will be obligated on individual task orders as issued by the customers for each area of responsibility. The U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center in Yokosuka, Japan is the contracting activity.
